I partnered with illustrator Jane Yi to create a seder plate to represent the symbolic foods of Passover as they were in life.
The plate imagines a pastoral setting where the paschal lamb nibbles on the bitter herbs of a horseradish root; chickens lay eggs under an apple tree, its fruit yet to be harvested for charoset. This scene suggests that Passover’s celebration of life should include our fellow beings in the natural world.
Clear glaze with subtle crazing.
Hand thrown and hand illustrated on white stoneware. Food safe; hand washing recommended.
Local pickup only.
